Jose Serrano headshot

President: Jose Serrano, DC, DACBR

Dr. Jose L. Serrano currently serves as the imaging director of Serrano Radiology Consulting (SRC). He completed his DC degree at Texas Chiropractic College and after graduation went on to a residency in radiology at Southern California University Health Sciences. After successful completion of the residency, he went on to work as a clinician professor and supervising doctor within the Southern California Health Sciences clinics. Eventually he went on to focus on the practice of radiology working for an outpatient imaging center with offices in the Orange County and Los Angeles County areas rising to the role of clinic director for a period of nine years. Currently along with serving as the director of SRC, he provides continuing education lectures throughout the state of California.

Erin Ruof headshot

Vice President: Erin Ruof, MS, DC, DACBR

Dr. Erin Ruof completed her DC degree from National University of Health Sciences in 2009 and continued at NUHS to complete her diagnostic imaging residency. Dr. Ruof was certified by the American Board of Chiropractic Radiology in 2013. In addition to her current role in the executive committee of the ACCR, Dr. Ruof is a prior board member of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology. She is a former faculty member of National University of Health Sciences in which she served as an attending clinician. Currently Dr. Ruof is the owner and chiropractic radiologist at Quinlan Imaging Consultation serving clinicians in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Colorado and provides continuing education lectures for the Illinois Chiropractic Society.

Whitney Fuqua headshot

Secretary: Whitney Fuqua, DC, DACBR

Dr. Whitney Fuqua, DC, DACBR, currently serves as clinic radiologist and Assistant Professor at Life University in Marietta GA. She completed her DC degree at Life university in Marietta GA and completed her radiology residency at Parker University in Dallas, TX, where she then served as a faculty member. She has held Diplomate status with the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology since the completion of her residency in 2016. She currently operates a private consulting practice serving clinicians in the greater Atlanta area. She is happy to be of service to the American college of chiropractic radiology and its members.

Lauren Tollefson headshot

Treasurer: Lauren Tollefson, DC, DACBR

Dr. Lauren Tollefson currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY where she teaches several radiology courses. She completed her DC degree at Parker University in Dallas, TX, and shortly after began a residency in diagnostic imaging there. Dr. Tollefson completed her residency and achieved Diplomate status with the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology in 2019. She currently operates a private consulting practice serving New York and Texas clinicians.

Hector Rivera Melo headshot

Past President: Hector Rivera Melo, DC, DACBR, RMSK

Dr. Hector Rivera-Melo is currently the Director for the Center of Diagnostic Imaging, head radiologist and Assistant Clinical Professor at Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU), where he teaches several radiology courses. He graduated from SCU in 2009 with a doctorate in chiropractic (DC), and shortly after began a residency in diagnostic imaging there. Dr. Rivera-Melo completed his residency and was awarded the title of Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiologists (DACBR) in 2012. In 2017 he obtained his certificate in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound (RMSK®).
